New fully-funded autumn residency opportunity for artist-women/non-binary artists at all career stages to share and explore site-specific Land Art works in collaboration with each other and the Dartmoor landscape
Where: Southcombe Barn, Dartmoor, Devon
Set in Dartmoor, Devon, with it’s own Land Art legacies, Southcombe Barn is an artist retreat, residency, and test space comprising 16 acres of land. On site, there is an apothecary garden, a natural swimming pool, and a wood-fired sauna. The land backs onto Dartmoor National Park, which is a haven for wildlife, with a range of ecosystems including wildflower meadows, temperate rainforest, woodland, ponds and streams.

Who's It For & How To Apply
Who: Artist-women and non-binary artists of all career stages working with land-based practices/Land Art.
What: This is an invitation for 4 intergenerational artists to spend 10 days in the beautifully renovated shared cottage space at Southcombe Barn, Dartmoor, Devon sharing Land Art practices and knowledge and creating a new work together in response to the land. The offer includes all accommodation, shared studio, plus return UK travel/materials budget.
The selected artists will also have the opportunity to work alongside Southcombe Barn curator/founder to exhibit or show a final work together at the end of this group residency. Artist Sophie Anna Gibbings @sophieannagibbings will join in as both collaborator and group facilitator, holding morning gatherings consisting of a guided meditation and sharing circle to hold the space for the group.
